Currently all my sheaths are made of .06" and .09" thick kydex.
Primarily I use black although I usually have some brown and
sometimes other colors - don't be afraid to ask.
On some custom pieces I send out to trusted friends and have
leather work done. Not only do I supply my own kydex sheaths,
I also supply other knifemakers and vendors with kydex sheaths.
I have a varied stock of production blades available to use
as templates or can use your own knife to make a sheath for
you.
A sheath is not just something to dump a knife into. As an
avid hunter, fisherman, all around outdoorsman, and student
of martial arts I understand the different design features
dictated by a knife's intended use. It must carry comfortably,
be accessible, and release cleanly without being so loose
so that a blade falls out or rattles.
I will provide my own recommendations on knife carry and deployment,
but the actual design of the sheath will be up to you - its
your blade.
The last comment I will make is that I have made sheaths for a lot of other items besides knives. Once again, do not
hesitate to ask, you might be surprised by the answer.
